"If I Could Remember"
Pen and Ink, 11" x 15"
I have been a dreamer all of my life, of intense or instructive images. In my family I have been considered a prophetic dreamer, not only in the sense of future events, but also in the sense of revealing truths about present situations or spiritual dynamics. By I have never looked to my dreams for my own healing. As I held those images and drew them in my journal the alchemical journey began.
I entered the water and found the moon. The poem, "Fragments of God" and the accompanying picture "the moon is my mother" were a response to an attempt to go into the water images and find out who I was before my religious training robbed me of my spiritual identity.
