Mark writes:

I am an English teacher at Sacred Heart Preparatory in Atherton, California.

I have published short fiction and poetry in Cimarron Review, ¶ - A Magazine of Paragraphs, and Pig Iron Press. My first play was produced in 1996 by the Sonoma County Repertory Theatre.

I was recently featured in the anthology Fiction and Nonfiction From the OWL & Santa Clara Review: 25 Years of Student Writing. My first novel, Little Sister, is being peddled to publishers by Melvin Jones of the Phoenix Literary Agency.

In 1995, during another extended leave of absence from teaching, I hiked more than 400 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, from the Mexican Border north. Several weeks alone in the wilderness and several months making sense of the ordeal led to the creating of Happy Trails. . .
