The Case of An Apple

by Gloria D. Gonsalves

Cuban Art

The Case of An Apple

I would never imagine an apple
to possess an oval busty bosom,
albeit the bestowed roundedness
does tempt one to such a thought.

Equally, I would not consider Obelix
to be or possess a blue-white apple
endowed with exceptional strength,
like a machine for harvesting apples.

Until then, I shall not be castigated
for ideas I did not imagine or consider.
Accordingly, I believe apples are apples
and Obelix is not one to refuse an apple.
